Overview paragraph:

I undertook my PhD studies in the University of Limerick under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Kiely. My project involved investigating the effects of protein-protein interactions on the process of neurite outgrowth in neuronal-like cells. The biochemical processes are similar in both neurite outgrowth and cell migration. Currently I am working in the Stokes Institute with Dr. Tara Dalton and provide biological support to engineers developing novel microfluidic instruments for gene expression analysis.
